'People are intimidated' - the reasons 'unstoppable force' Arsenal are the squad everyone fears.

It's obvious why Arsenal are now countless pundits' favorites to secure the Premier League in the current campaign.

Consider their performances against Newcastle and Crystal Palace in contrast with those identical matches in the previous campaign.

The Gunners have overcome all of them during this campaign, but dropped 10 points across those games as they fell away in the title race in the prior campaign.

Defensive Prowess

Arsenal's defensive solidity is a primary factor why they are seeming ready to at last realize their title target.

They lead the league for unbreached games (6), goals allowed (3), attempts against (72), dangerous chances allowed (19) and expected goals against (5.3).

The center-back duo of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the finest in the league, with Arsenal recording a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Expertise

Their threat from set-pieces is highly documented, but rival sides still find it difficult to stop the Gunners from these situations.

They have registered 11 times from set-pieces in the league, several additional than any other side, with 69% of their goals originating from these situations.

"Arsenal can excel in various aspects now. The whole team has a fear factor. People are just afraid of them and it is excellent to see."

Championship Credentials

What is particularly impressive about Arsenal's start to the campaign is they have also encountered Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United at opposition grounds and Manchester City on home turf - and are still four points clear at the top.

While they continue triumphing, their traditional rivals face difficulties. This marks the premier instance at this point of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The pressure was on manager Mikel Arteta at the outset, having invested around £250m on eight summer acquisitions in quest of that coveted first title since 2004.

But the business has so far yielded results in style, with his side among the highest scorers in the league and boasting the tightest defense, despite multiple injuries.

  • Unbreached games in each of their last three Premier League games
  • Over six hours without letting in a goal
  • Only a trio of goals in 12 games across every tournament

Former players and pundits have labeled Arteta's men as a "juggernaut, looking challenging to stop" with the whole club now performing with belief and determination.
